As
early as our forties we begin to lose
the visual acuity of earlier years.
Although each of us is affected differently,
it's safe to say that as you get older,
your eyesight and your appreciation
of light will diminish. This is particularly
important when reading and writing.
Appropriate
lighting works to prevent eye strain
and headaches. It will improve your
concentration and have a positive
impact on you whole reading experience.
Poor
lighting can mean too much light (glare),
annoying reflections (indirect glare),
not enough light, or poor light quality.
For example, you may want to read
in bed, but your partner shouldn't
be prevented from sleeping. A reading
lamp should shine for you alone. |
